Chris Cornell tribute show announced for Jan 16, 2019 in LA, featuring members from Metallica, Foo Fighters and more

As the year and half mark of Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell’s death gets closer, a tribute concert for the late singer is officially in the works and will go down at the Forum in LA next year on Jan. 16.

Cornell’s family announced Tuesday the tribute concert, which is being called “I Am The Highway,” will feature members from a slew of bands that are considered rock royalty. Members from Cornell’s own bands Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple of the Dog will play the special concert, as well as Metallica, Foo Fighters, Ryan Adams and many more yet-to-be-announced acts. The show will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
